With her widower father currently living it up in Paris with a young, new girlfriend, Lilian (Van Patten) has been placed into the care of family friends over in Brooklyn, New York. Under the roof of famed author, Julia Price (Mortimer), Lilian has no real motivation to live any other lifestyle than that of her hermit housemate. To impress her ex-boyfriend, and the other cynics...。白人警探尼克．诺尔蒂为了追查神秘的毒贩"卖冰人"，不得不找当年的黑人罪犯搭档埃迪．墨菲协助提供线索。埃迪因有一笔巨款仍寄存在尼克手上，只好不情不愿地加以帮忙，但二人在合作过程中发生多起冲突。最后，他们还是发现了卖冰人"的真正身份，原来是警察中人。全片从编剧的情节安排，到导演的动作设计，再到演员的卖力演出，处处可见台前幕后工作人员尽力使本片显得热闹好看的努力，不过最终还是摆脱不了既有的框架，只是在公式化之中转圈圈，甚至埃迪的惹笑伎俩也显得有点技穷了。。
