2017年，某座小城市预定要上演一出话剧。而这出剧名为《Morning》非比寻常，它由享誉全球的英国著名剧作家Simon Stephens亲自执笔创作，此次更是首度登陆日本。为此，主创紧锣密鼓准备。从最初的试镜选拔开始，未有任何经验的少男少女便踌躇满志朝向荣光的舞台。可就在排演过程中，意外发生了……。单亲妈妈李青草带着女儿在外打工，无房无户口的她急需找到一所能收女儿上学的小学。与此同时，一所废弃小学的夹墙中，被挖出了一具陈年遗骸，县刑警队长韩岩在调查的过程中发现，此案件牵扯着多年前的五个少年。每个人的心中似乎都有一道夹缝……。Joe Bell is a penny-pinching hermit saving for the day when his real life will begin.
