2047年，神秘人创建大泽集团，专注科技研发。2048年开始机械人体工程研究，并于2049年初提出“24位机械无机自运行”的理论及实践基础。同年6月，大泽集团暗中创立MG公司，并将上述技术卖给MG。是年8月，MG公司推出名为“恋人”的智能机器人，旨在满足男性群体的各方面需求。虽然从诞生起“恋人”遭到保守人士的反对以及道德方面的声讨，但是这种机器女友还是迅速蔓延，成为划时代的产物。效力于MG公司的小人物阿邻因工作不力遭到发配，他在那里邂逅了一个报废的型号，好心的电工最终将该型号机器女友送给了阿邻。 对他来说这或许是美好未来的开始，但同时也跌入了命运的漩涡之中……。由导演同名短片拓展而来，入围2019年圣塞巴斯蒂安电影节新导演竞赛单元。 On her graduation day, Charlotte learns her first love has returned to her small Georgia town for the first time since vanishing the year before, in the midst of an awful trauma in her life.
